1.1 Background information
1.1.1 Statement of problem
We are conducting a survey on recreational activities of KMPH students because we find out that too many students are not active in involving themselves in any kind of activities. Obviously, we have seen that male students are more active compared to female students. For instant, when Jabatan Perwakilan Pelajar(JPP) was held an activity such as "eclipse", only a few students involved in this activity.
1.1.2 Objectives
- to identify the popular recreational activities among the students.
- to investigate whether the activities are good or bad for them.
- to ascertain the time they spend on recreational activities
1.1.3 Research Questions
- What are popular recreational activities among the students ?
- Are the activities good or bad for them?
- How much time they spend on recreational activities?
1.1.4 Definitions
Jimmy Wales defines recreational is an essential part of human life and finds many different forms which are shaped naturally by individual interests but also by the surrounding social construction. Recreationa activities can be commonal or solitary, active or passive, outdoors or indoors. healthy or harmful, and useful for society or detrimental. A list of typical activities could be almost and less including most human activities, a few examples being. (2010)
